There's a New Sheriff in Town! Be Prepared for Sweeping Workplace Safety Changes – Columbus, GA – November 13
If OSHA has fallen off your radar screen, it is time to put it back on. OSHA has been changing recently and more changes are on the way. Employers should expect a continued shift away from the government's recent emphasis on cooperative efforts with employers to a more aggressive enforcement approach.
This seminar reviewed the essential elements of OSHA compliance and an effective workplace safety and health program, with an eye to preparing for increased civil and criminal enforcement, as well as the use of safety issues by unions and a growing group of whistleblowers. The seminar also explained how, when used properly, safety compliance can be a "profit center" and not another administrative cost.
Finally, the latest hot topics in labor and employment law were covered, including the proposed regulations for the ADA amendments.
Attorneys Edwin Foulke Jr. and Joseph Shelton presented this informative and interactive event.
