Global Immigration
The attorneys of the Global Immigration Practice Group (GIPG) limit their practices exclusively to immigration law, a focus essential given the complexity and changeability of U.S. immigration laws and regulations. The attorneys keep abreast of daily developments in the world of immigration law, including Congressional legislation, policies enacted by agencies such as U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, and global events affecting the migration of people.
GIPG attorneys advise clients internationally on the widest possible range of immigration issues, including bringing foreign workers into the U.S., protecting the legal status of foreign workers already inside the U.S., and sending domestic workers abroad to staff foreign offices.
In an age of increased immigration enforcement, the GIPG works with clients to ensure comprehensive compliance with federal immigration laws. This includes, but is by no means limited to, conducting precautionary audits of I-9 documentation, devising company-wide policies to ensure legal work authorization of workers, and providing advanced computer software to streamline I-9/E-Verify compliance.
