Alan has been certified as the United States District Court as a mediator. He is very involved in teaching less experienced attorneys litigation skills in the employment arena as a Bencher in the prestigious Sidney Reitmann Employment Inn of Court.

Alan is actively engaged as a youth athletic coach and religious education teacher. He is currently the President of a not-for-profit corporation that has as its mission the refurbishment of athletic facilities in his community.
