Theresa Essig

Theresa Essig is an associate in the Chicago office. Theresa defends employers against discrimination, harassment and retaliation charges pending before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, state agencies, and state and federal courts. She also advises management on a wide variety of employment-related matters, including plant closing and layoff laws, employee handbooks, severance agreements, I-9 compliance, and wage and hour issues. In addition, Theresa has obtained nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, and resolved other immigration issues, to enable clients to employ foreign workers. Prior to joining Fisher & Phillips, Theresa practiced employment litigation and immigration law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
