Melinda Caterine is a partner in the Portland Maine office. She has practiced in the area of labor and employment law on behalf of management for twenty years. Melinda has practiced in the federal and state courts of Maine and New Hampshire, as well as before a number of federal and state agencies in several New England states where she has litigated numerous sexual harassment, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge and employment contract dispute cases. In addition to her work counseling clients and litigating disputes, she has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine School of law where she taught a course on Employment Discrimination. Melinda also taught for the University of Southern Maine Department of Continuing Education for Business and Personnel Law from 1993-1996 and has written and conducted training on a wide variety of employment issues, including sexual harassment, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force, Family Medical Leave policies and the use of employment practices liability insurance. Melinda was listed in Chambers USA, America's Leading Business Lawyers in 2007, 2008 and 2010. She was also included in The Best Lawyers in America 2010 and 2011.
