Betsy Weintraub is an associate in the Memphis office. Prior to joining the firm, Betsy was an Assistant District Attorney General for the 30th Judicial District of Tennessee.
As a prosecutor, Betsy represented the State in hundreds of bench trials and contested hearings. In 2011, she tried eleven jury trials in Criminal Court, resulting in nine guilty verdicts.
Betsy began her legal career as a sole practitioner, representing clients in general civil litigation and criminal defense cases. During law school, Betsy served as a law clerk to the Shelby County Criminal Court Judges.
She earned CALI Awards for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, Immigration Law and Criminal Procedure II. She and her partner won the 2007 University of Memphis Mock Trial Competition.
Betsy was a staff member of the University of Memphis Law Review from 2005-06, an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Board from 2006-07, and a pupil in the American Inns of Court.
